Your Creator gives you life this moment for a reason. Your life is
purposeful. Just imagine the enthusiasm you are going to experience when you realize that the Creator and Sustainer of the universe is saying to you, “I am giving you life this very moment. Appreciate it."

It always get down to, how can I best show my appreciation? The great religions say that serving others generously and without self- aggrandizement is one of the best ways. I do my little bit for my family but I should do more.

Praying is another way to show appreciation to the Creator and Sustainer. I do my simple, rote prayer on a regular basis while exercising. But here again I should do more.

These then are my two goals. I will report on a regular basis.

Well, fall is here. I am doing my lunchtime walking with a jacket or shawl now. No pretty leaves yet. Maybe it has been too hot or too dry.

Ron and I have been busy trimming shrubs. And they are (were) gigantic. It takes about an hour and a half just to pick up the trimmings! I guess my walking has been good for me. I was able to pick up all the trimmings without even being sore.

Ron is heading to Rochester this Friday. There was an explosion and he has to help clean it up. My class reunion is this weekend also, but I am not planning to go. And Ray should be in this weekend also. So it should be an interesting time.

Work has slowed down a bit but I am working on the website. Lots of possibilities there.

It has been so long since I have made an entry that I thought that I would write somethng even though I really have nothing to say!

The exciting news is that the database access part of my work web site is up and running. We have had 18 registrations so far. It only took over a year to get approval for this move. Talk about conservative!

The situation with Iraq, the stock market, the west coast shipping lockout and the attack on the Greyhound bus driver and subsequent accident dominate the news. I find myself unsure of the future and I put off adding to my IRA account even though stocks are so depressed now. The USA more than a year after 9/11/01...

The new Hannibal film, "Red Dragon", is out this week along with the "Moonlight Mile". The screenwriter and director of "Moonlight Mile" was on Larry King last night. It is about the emotional reaction to a senseless murder based on the screenwriter's own experience of losing his girlfriend to a crazed fan. I will see the former for the thrill and the latter for a better understanding of the handling of loss.

Last weekend, Ron and I went to see "One Hour Photo" with Robin Williams. It was a very interesting character study and the cinematography and music were notable. The movie itself lacked a deeper meaning. But it was worthwhile.

As I said, I had nothing to say...
